Q: Where is Village Green located?
A: Village Green is located in Gilroy, just 15-minutes south of San Jose, CA.  We are conveniently located near shopping, religious centers, medical services and recreational venues.  Please click HERE for a map and directions to our community.

Q: Where is Gilroy, California?
A: Gilroy, CA is centrally located within a short driving distance of the Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, San Benito County and the San Francisco Bay Area.  Gilroy is located in Santa Clara County, less than 15-minutes south of San Jose on Highway 101.

Gilroy is best known as the "Garlic Capital of the World," and home to the annual Gilroy Garlic Festival every July.  But the city is also known for its peaceful, residential environment, its award- winning parks (including Gilroy Gardens), golf course and recreation programs, and for its “urban forest,” for which the city has won “Tree City USA” awards annually since 1979.

Q: What types of housing & amenities are available?
A: The Promenade at Village Green features studio, one and two bedroom apartments each with a full kitchen, private bath, individually controlled heating & cooling and a 24-hour emergency call system.

The Plaza & Courtyard at Village Green features semi-private studios, private studios, one and two bedroom apartments. Select apartments are provided with kitchenettes and walk-in closets. All residents that are accompanied by a family member or care- giver may have access to the community center as well as planned activities, transportation and amenities such as dining, beauty & barber salon, library, computer center, activity & recreation rooms, fitness center, theatre, cable TV and all other common spaces and amenities throughout the campus.

The Town Square at Village Green features moderate-income apartments for seniors age 62 or better. One and two bedroom apartments feature full kitchens, individually controlled heating & cooling and generous closet & storage space. All residents may have access to the community center as well as planned activities, transportation and amenities such as dining, beauty & barber salon, library, computer center, activity & recreation rooms, fitness center, theatre, cable TV and all other common spaces and amenities throughout the campus.

Q: What if my health changes and I need personal assistance?
A: Village Green Assisted Living can accommodate residents requiring personal assistance which may include medication monitoring, grooming & bathing assistance, 24-hour well-being monitoring, personal laundry, and stand-by or hands-on assistance with one or more of the activities of daily living. Basic services in assisted living include a 24-hour staffing & emergency response system, meals, weekly housekeeping & laundry service, planned activities and scheduled transportation. Q: What are Village Green's rates, lease terms and financial arrangements?
A: Other than The Cottages, which may be purchased or rented, Village Green is a rental retirement community. The Promenade and Plaza & Courtyard are available on a month-to-month basis, with the right to cancel at anytime with a 30-day notice. We do not require any large up-front investment, endowment, buy-in or entrance fees. Q: Sounds Great!  How do I sign up?
A: Simply stop by our information office at 7600 Isabella Way in Gilroy for a presentation of the community and available units. Select your apartment and make a fully refundable reservation deposit of $1,500. If for any reason you decide not to move into Village Green, your deposit will be refunded.
